🗺 Why use FlexiMap?
FlexiMap is the fastest way to create Google Maps with your data. Just paste the place names in the box and click Plot. It automatically resolves places into valid locations (and will shout if it cannot).
This is an example which you can copy & paste.
# 7 wonders of the world
Taj Mahal, Agra, India
Colosseum, Italy
Chichen Itza, Mexico
Machu Picchu, Peru
Christ the Redeemer, Brazil
Petra, Jordan
Great Wall of China, Beijing, China
FlexiMap respects your privacy. There is no need to sign in to use it. We don't track you.
FlexiMap uses Google Maps, but adds some features which are missing in standard Google Maps.
To create a multi-stop journey within Google Maps alone, you must painstakingly enter each address one at a time. And if you have 50 such locations, just imagine how much time you would eat up entering addresses alone!
In FlexiMap, you can paste list of addresses, even from Excel directly!
You can put each marker in a different color and add a heading/title.
There are some addtional commands under the hamburger menu (☰ at top left corner).
If you use the Bulk Plot feature, please enter your data like this.
color|title|place name or location
example:
red|Times Square|Times Square, New York
blue|Colosseum|Rome, Italy
yellow|Taj Mahal|Taj Mahal, Agra
Tab can also be used instead of pipe. When you copy paste from Excel, the data will be tab delimited.
🚘 Driving route thru locations
If a driving route can be plotted thru given list of locations, FlexiMap can show the route.
⛽ FlexiMap shows fuel cost
Enter fuel economy either as kmpL or MPG e.g. 15 kmpl or 40 MPG
Enter price of fuel per Liter in your desired currency.
📌 Plotting GeoJSON file
You can plot a GeoJSON file which are accessible via https. This is an example of calling a GeoJSON file in FlexiMap.
Another example with polygons is here.
Large GeoJSON files may take a moment to load and you may need to scroll and pan the map to see the plot, depending on zoom scale of the map.
🌍 Globe view
If you want a 3D globe view of the world, then click Globe under menu (☰ at top left corner).
Google Maps API does not provide globe view, so 3D globe view is provided by Mapbox API.
Globe view can also plot valid GeoJSON data!
⌨ Keyboard shortcuts - may not work in all browsers!
